Together, We Can Give Serbia’s Animals a Second Chance at Life

Gentle Paws Rescue

Five Freedoms for All Paws

Rescue, Rehabilitate, Rehome

Help Us Change the Lives of Serbia’s Forgotten Animals.

Saving one animal will not change the world, but for that one animal,

the world will change forever

WHY SERBIA?

In Serbia, animals face a tragic reality. Due to a lack of adhering to regulations on animal abandonment, thousands of stray dogs and cats are left to survive on the streets, facing hunger, disease, and unimaginable suffering.

Shelters are overcrowded and under-resourced.

This situation is desperate, but together, we can make a difference.

URGENT!!

Help Us Bring Over 25 Cats to Safety with Operation Safe Haven

Right now, these precious cats in Serbia are hungry, unsafe and must be transported to safety.

Kath Logan, our Director of Rescue Operations, is leading Operation Safe Haven, traveling to Serbia on an urgent mission to bring these animals to safety.

But we can’t do it without you! We need immediate funds for transportation, medical care, and supplies to give these cats a fighting chance.

Every dollar helps us bring them home safely. Please, donate today to save lives—they’re counting on us.

Gentle Paws Rescue is committed to rescuing the animals in Serbia, providing them with the care and dignity they deserve, and giving them a chance at a better life.

Our mission is simple: Rescue, Rehabilitate, and Rehome. Every donation helps us fight for their Five Freedoms—for freedom from hunger, pain, fear, discomfort, and to experience joy in their lives.

A MESSAGE FROM KATH LOGAN

During my visit to Serbia, I met some remarkable people, who welcomed me and showed me the daily challenges they face.

It truly was inspiring to see the vast areas covered, the lengths these volunteers went, to try and improve the welfare of the cats and dogs struggling to survive.

I have seen first hand the vast number of homeless cats and dogs on the streets, the numbers keep increasing and the volunteers just can't keep up with the endless demands for help. These animals live in fear of inhumane capture, torture and abuse. They experience hunger, thirst, at high risk of disease, malnutrition and more..

For our long term plan, we are planning on buying land in Serbia and setting up a rescue 'with a difference' - this rescue will support the vast number of volunteers I have met, with a safe place for the abandoned animals and litters to stay.

YES this is ambitious - YES this is expensive.. but, I am a believer that where there is a will, there is always a way!

Your donations are so greatly appreciated and will directly be used to help rescue and rehome these abandoned pets.

We are looking for support right now and so greatly appreciate anything you are able to give. If you have questions regarding our project, please feel free to email us at: [email protected]
